The main idea of the project is to create a SANCTUARY for those who want to spend their time away from the rush of city life and enjoy themselves in the hand of nature. The definition of a sanctuary is a place of refuge or rest, a place where you can feel at peace. Creating a space dominated by Nature.
The spaces are defined based on the priority level. The accommodations are kept in the top most part of the site to ensure maximum privacy for the users and so that they enjoy the view and get ample of daylight. Restaurant being one of the most vibrant space among all is kept at the centre to ensure direct connection between various spaces within the site.
The buildings are designed in a way that the users can enjoy the beautiful natural environment even from indoor spaces. For the skylights, large glazing is provided for uninterrupted connection between users and outdoor spaces. The skylight also helps in capturing as much heat as possible since, the site lies in a cold region. Vegetation is used to buffer the building from the walkway.
As the buildings are to be made as Ecological as possible, an underground are service room is designed which accommodates various Eco-services like compost chamber, grey water treatment system, rain water harvesting etc.
The buildings are placed such that no building will block the view and the daylight for the other.
